There’s something special about processing yarn made from beautiful, contented alpacas from my own ranch. From daily care of the alpacas, to annual shearing, then preparing the fiber for carding, dying, spinning and weaving, there’s a pride in the end product. But that’s not all that happens at Cribleman Fiber Art Studio. Utilizing several looms, a variety of products for home and personal use, such as scarfs, shawls, table runners, and placemats are produced from lovely cotton, tencel, bamboo, silk and alpaca yarns.

The farm and store are open by appointment. Call or text to set a convenient time. Social distancing and masks please.

“The fiber is so soft. Each batt of fiber and skein of yarn is unique and that

makes every item she sells even more special.”

Spinning in yard 3.jpeg

Cribleman Fiber Arts arose out of my love for fiber animals. In the 1980s I raised sheep and toyed with spinning and weaving, but put it aside until 2012, when I was introduced to beautiful alpacas and their fiber.

The natural alpaca fiber is ideal for fiber artists, spinners and weavers. As pure alpaca or combined with silk, wool, bamboo, or other natural fibers, the resulting yarns can be knit or crocheted into lovely, warm, soft garments. My weaving primarily uses cottons, bamboo, tencel, silk and alpaca to make lovely hand woven scarves, shawls and other textiles.
